HENDERSON VISITS THE ACADEMY

April 14, 2016 BY

The Torquay Football Academy continues to draw the big names, with Geelong recruit Lachie Henderson turning up at training at Spring Creek Reserve on Tuesday. Henderson, who has played the first three games of the 2016 AFL season for the Cats since arriving from Carlton, ran a series of drills with the Tigers’ Under-16 and Under-18 players, including one focused on the importance of defenders limiting the movement of forwards into “danger space”. Henderson – whose visit follows appearances at the academy by North Melbourne’s Jarrad Waite and fellow Cat Jimmy Bartel – also worked with Torquay’s Senior players.
