NEW TRIO FOR KOBO TO PLEASE LOCALS

Kobo has an exciting new concept three days a week, adding to the fresh, fun and healthy dining experience already on offer. Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays are getting a revamp with locals’ specials, Mexican street food and a burger bar.

“We’re really excited and want to share our enthusiasm with locals and tourists for our love of good nourishing food and great service,” business owner Janet DuRose said.

Kobo has the cure for Mondayitis with $3 coffees from 9am to 11am and a 10 per cent discount for locals all day.

Thursday is time to ramp up for the weekend with the Big Mex Mexican fiesta of fresh healthy street food and refreshing sangria and Coronas.

The menu will vary each week from meat, chicken, fish or vegetarian tacos, chilli con carne and other delicious options.

Escape to a lunchtime holiday with Latin music and sombreros, it’ll be heaps of fun with “truck-stop type fare,” and specials of food and drink for $19.

Book in a Friday long lunch with your office pals, friends or family, and check into the burger bar with 10 different choices; add a Blackmans beer for just $5.

Featuring top-quality meat on La Madre buns, the burgers are, “designed so the flavours complement each other; dill pickles with Dijon mustard, they’re so tasty,” Janet said.

The Winki burger has 100 per cent grass fed-grilled beef, beetroot, bacon, pineapple, baby greens, vine ripened tomato, tasty cheese, dill pickles, chutney and cremoso mayo. Swap the beef for a tender grilled chicken breast with beetroot, greens tomato, chutney and chilli mayo in the Red Hen.

And vegetarians will be smiling when their Hip Burger arrives; grilled eggplant, haloumi, beetroot pesto, roasted red peppers, baby greens tomato and chutney.

Order on your choice of a seeded or gluten free bun, and keep your burger company with a side of fries, onion rings or sweet potato chips.

The sauce selection is dripping with The Winki in all its glory. variety – try the sweet chilli or chipotle mayo, classic tommy or spicy chutney.
